Kenya and Sudan
In 1996, Mark and our boys and I relocated from Addis Ababa to Nairobi to live (Miriam was in college in Portland). Mark worked with Sudanese pastors in Nairobi, where they’d taken refuge from their civil war. I traveled in and out of South Sudan and Kakuma Refugee Camp to work with women, teach teachers, and support peacemaking efforts.
